 Investiture Ceremony & Scholars Awards & Science Exhibition at Ryan International School, Sohna Road, Gurgaon

 DSC03464 There was a mood of jubilation and passion for celebration as they celebrated Investiture Ceremony cum Scholar’s Award on July 26, 2014. The programme started with the tree plantation, followed by holy note, Lord’s Prayer and Special Prayer invoking the presence of the Almighty. Mr. Parminder Kataria presided over the function as Chief Guest who was felicitated with potted plant, which is a Ryan tradition. Ryanites welcomed the parents and guests in five different languages, which was followed by prayer and worship songs. Meritorious students from VI-XI were awarded with scholar badges, which was a glorious moment. Students of class VII-VIII danced to the times of ‘Happy Nation’ and brought bright smiles on the faces of people by performing sunshine dance. The big highlight of the day was the Investiture Ceremony wherein the school council took an oath to perform their duties responsibly. The students parliament, a replication of Union Parliament, in school includes elected representative of the students for the post of President Swarnika Dhingra, Vice President Balachandra Routhu, Prime Minister Gaurav Kaushik, Deputy Prime Minister Roshni Biswas, the Speaker Bhavya Taneja, the Council of Ministers and even the opposition leader. The members of school parliament were elected by means of e-polling following canvassing by the candidates with the symbols designed by them. “Inspired by the vision of the Chairman of the School, Dr. A.F. Pinto every child is a King in making, Parliament is formed and responsibilities are entrusted according to the portfolio” says Dr. Mouna Gupta, the Principal of the school. To mark the day as a success a Science Exhibition was put up by Primary students. Winners of Science Model from classes-III, IV and V were awarded by hon’ble guests. Students of class-IX and X presented a street play “Vriksharopan avam Paryavaran Suraksha” highlighting the significance of green India. Every guest present had word full of appreciation by the efforts made by the students. The programme ended with school song followed by school and National Anthem.
