th and 10
th of October, INMUN 2015, organised by the Ryan group of Institutions, was held at Scope Complex Lodhi Road.
INMUN is a Model United Nations experience like no other. With over 900 participants from across India-and the world, the event was truly a platform with a global perspective. Keeping with our Chairman, Dr. A. F. Pinto’s vision of Leadership skills, and Managing Director Madam Grace Pinto’s ideals, INMUN is a conference that continually strives to bring out the best in the students attending the conference.
12 students of Ryan International School, Sohna Road, Gurgaon attended the three day conference at INMUN, and took part in various committees including General Assembly I, II, III, Human Rights Commission, ECOSOC and United Nations Development Fund and the World Press.
The students took part in the debates and discussion, with great zeal and enthusiasm. The delegation consisted of AkanshaRajawat, Kritika Kumar, Vishwani Gupta, Jayant Mehta, Kartik Sharma, Pranav Jain and Priyam Mahajan, representing the countries of Chile and Iran. Abhijit Singh and Ishrita Bagchi participated as members of the World Press. The students were rewarded for their hard work and dedication, and earned laurels for the school. In GA I, Pranav Jain and Kartik won the High Commendation. Akansha Rajawat and Jayant Mehta, too, were awarded the High Commendation in GA II. Tejasvi won the High Commendation in UNDP. Yash Jain did the school proud by being announced the Best Delegate in GA III. IshritaBagchi and Abhijit Singh Malhi, too, were felicitated for their valuable contributions to the newsletter as Editor and Cartoonist respectively. The school was also awarded the Best Country Profile for Iran.
The students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Managing Director Madam Grace Pinto and Chairman Sir for giving them the opportunity to participates in a life-changing event like INMUN. The closing ceremony was yet another experience which saw dignitaries like Dr. Sambit Patra, spokesperson, BJP, and ambassadors of various countries like Spain, Tunessia, Pakistan, Iceland, etc. These global leaders, presented a discussion titled ‘Dialogue on Democracy’. This was indeed an ideal culmination to the journey of learning and grooming, aptly bearing the theme ‘Shaping the Future’.
