As an endeavour to inculcate team spirit and discipline and to ensure an all round progress of the students ,Ryan International School, Ghaziabad organized the Annual Sports Meet for Primary wing with the theme – Leap , Lead , Succeed ,on 19th of November 2016, under the aegis of the Chairman of Ryan group of Institutions Dr. Augustine.F.Pinto and Managing Director Madam Grace Pinto. The meet commenced with scripture reading and special prayer followed by a welcome address in four languages and the felicitation of guests by the Principal Ms Anju Sharma and Head Mistress Ms Seema Kasumra , who presented saplings as a token of warm welcome. The event was graced by a host of dignitaries which included the Chief Guest Mr. Mrinal Choubey – International Hockey player, Guests Of Honour, Mr. Vikas Panwar – Commercial Tax Officer and special guests – Col Sudesh Razora, 14 Mechanized Infantry , Mr. Anuraag Dixit – Anchor , Lok Sabha ,TV, Ms. Nisha Choudhary – Owner, Green Grow Public School, Ms. Archana Singh – Sub Editor, Navbharat Times, Mr. DigVijay Bharat – Assistant Programmer, Computer Cell GDA, Mr. Vinod Kumar Vajpai – Operation Editor, ABP News, Mr. Meet Agarwal – Managing Director, Junior Champs along with the parents of awardees and the PTA members. The Pious Flag hoisting ceremony was marked by the unfurling of the School flag by the Chief Guest, followed by the synchronized March Past in which the contingents of four Houses, sports teams and Cubs and Bulbuls accompanied by the School band presented a visual treat to the spectators. The Ryanites displayed a wide array of colourful and reverberant performances which included prayer medley, a cordial welcome dance, dumb bells presentation and an Awesome Aerobics presentation, adding colors to the event. The oath taking ceremony was led by the Junior Sports Captain Anshuman Modgil wherein the athletes promised to abide by the rules and regulations during the meet to uphold the honour and glory of sports .The Meet was declared open by the Chief Guest with the release of balloons. Thereafter the students participated in Track and Field events which included 30 meters Hop jump race(girls), 50 meter Banana race (boys), 50 mtr race (boys & girls) , three legged race (girls), sack race(boys), 100mtr race (boys & girls) , 100mtr race(boys) skipping race (girls), hurdle race(boys),200 mtr race (girls),relay 4×100 (boys & girls).They exhibited their confidence , talent and endurance and won accolades. The winners were awarded medals and certificates for their endeavors and excellence in sports. The students were enlightened by the enlightening address of the Chief Guest who congratulated the winners and encouraged the children to participate in sports and games for good health and fitness .The parents also relived their school days by participating in fun games and won several prizes .The sportive culmination dance Aao khelein… extended a euphoric ebullience to the event . This was followed by the vote of thanks, school anthem and national anthem. The school playground buzzed with zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere.
