Dhruv Verma of class XII B participated in 44^th Jawaharlal Nehru National Science Mathematics and Environmental Exhibition 2017, held at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh from 10^th to 16^th November 2017. The young genius prepared a project -Eco-Cruiser that won accolades and appreciation from the intelligentsia and the media for his outstanding project. The exhibition witnessed a gala participation of around 142 exhibits by the students from 29 states and 9 Union Territories and a gathering of around 60000 visitors appreciated the exhibits and encouraged the students with their presence. The exhibition inaugurated by the honorable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Mr. Shivraj Singh Chauhan was graced by the eminent scientists and politicians from across the country. Dhruv’s project Eco-Cruiser is a bicycle which works as an air purifier, as the rider pedals, the dynamo attached to the front wheel produces 12 to 25V energy. A transformer amplifies the voltage of the current and supplies power to the electrostatic precipitator attached to the handle of the bicycle, which cleans the air. The purified air reaches the rider through a tube and a mask. It is apt for the people who commute in the areas near coal mines and cement factories. It can also be used in the Smog affected areas. This project was first displayed at the Regional level CBSE Science exhibition 2016-17 where it got selected for the National level CBSE Science Exhibition 2016-17 held at N C Jindal Public School, Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi. The project was selected amongst the top 10 innovative models out of 325 models on display from different parts of the country, which was itself a glorious achievement. It is indeed a matter of pride for the school that the project got a chance to be showcased at this Prestigious 44^th JNNSMEE. The School Principal lauded the achievement and felicitated him in the school assembly. According to Dhruv, It was a great, once in a lifetime experience which has given wings to his dream of becoming an inventor and a researcher.  It was also an enriching experience as the expert lectures by researchers and astronomers added to the confidence level of the participants. He added that it was a gala platform to discuss and interact with the students from across the nation.
