RYANITES WIN PRIZES AT KACHARA SAMADHAN MAHOTSAVA

IMG-20180423-WA0050 IMG-20180424-WA0025 IMG-20180424-WA0017 IMG-20180424-WA0094 The students of Ryan International School Ghaziabad participated in plethora of competitions organized by the Ghaziabad District administration as part of the ‘Kachara Samadhan Mahotsava – 2018 ‘a first of its kind on 22nd and 23rd April 2018, at the Kavinagar Ramleela ground, Ghaziabad. This two days event was successfully organized under the able guidance of the DM Ghaziabad Ms. Ritu Maheshwari to sensitize the young students and the people about the importance of waste recycling and management. The gala event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Retd Gen.  V K Singh – Union Minister of State for External Affairs, with the lightening of the lamp ceremony and witnessed a vibrant display of beautiful models prepared from waste material. There were stalls set up by the educational institutions, NGO’s, RWA’s and Govt. departments showcasing the best out of waste Art Installations exhibiting their innovation and creativity, science working models using waste material (Kabbad se jugaad), and waste management techniques. The Ryanites participated in Collage making, poster making, science models /exhibits using waste material, eco melody –creating music using junk instruments and also set up a school stall where they exhibited their innovation and creativity using waste material. They received several prizes and brought laurels to the school. The Ryanites bagged the 1st prize in Kabaad se Jugaad and 2nd prize in Nukkad natak whereas the Stall set up by our school won accolades and secured the Second position in the exhibition which is indeed a proud achievement. The children also enjoyed learning about the transformation of garbage in the workshop conducted by the sculptor Mr Tejendra Singh who taught about making beautiful art pieces using newspaper.  The gala event included exhibitions, presentations, and other community awareness programmes making the people aware about the proper waste disposal and turning the waste into useful products. The grand finale was marked by the rock band performance; eco melody, chair dance and the prize distribution ceremony. The Hon’ble Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Retd. Gen. V.K. Singh and Ms. Ritu Maheshwari DM Ghaziabad awarded the certificates to the winners and shared their words of appreciation and encouragement. The principal appreciated the teachers and students for their sincere efforts in the domain of waste management.
