Ryan International School, Ghaziabad hosted the Football Talent Hunt on 16th January 2017 in the school premises to search for the best upcoming footballing talent in India. It is an initiative of the Ryan Group of Institutions in partnership with FC Metz, a Ligue 1 (top division) club in France and Eric Benny Sports Management, India as an endeavour to focus on grass root level football development and assist in provision of top class football education for the young children. The selection team comprised of Mr. Eric Benny, Football player, coach, manager, mentor and an entrepreneur, Mr. Janik Backhaus – coach, FC Metz & EB Academy, has an international experience of tournaments and training camps in Brazil, Tunisia, Turkey, Italy and USA and Mr. Sunil Chettri, Captain of the National Football Team as the Brand Ambassador of Ryan Group of Institutions. The Ryanites from the sister branches also participated in the event. The aspiring school level footballers grabbed the opportunity to prove their mettle in Football. Five students were selected for a Training Program to be held in Germany, in near future. The selected students were –Apoorv Kansal (XI), Anurag Tomar (VI) ,Ashwin Chaudhary (VI) ,Saurav Nagar (VII) and Varun Nair (V) It is indeed a proud achievement for the Ryanites. It is an endeavour to ensuring an all round progress of Ryanites through sports and games and promote the talent of Ryanites.
