The 109th Race of Ryan Minithon was flagged off at Ryan International School, Yelahanka on 4th January 2014. Ryan Minithon was pioneered in the year 1998 which is one of the biggest Minithon for school kids. The Minithon is organized regularly in the major Indian cities namely Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Jaipur and many others. The event saw an overwhelming registration of around 4500 students from 26 numbers of schools across Bangalore. The event was conducted in five categories namely Boys & Girls (U- 12) for a distance of 2Kms, Boys (U- 14) and Girls (U- 16) for 3 Kms and Boys (U- 16) for 4 Kms. The first race was flagged off at 9.05 a.m. A cash prize of Rs. 30000/- and Certificates of Achievement were awarded to the first six position holders in each category. The overall Championship trophies were awarded to schools which scored the highest number of points namely:
1st PLACE – RYAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, YELAHANKA WITH 38 POINTS
2ND PLACE – RYAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, KUNDANAHALLI WITH 25 POINTS
3RD PLACE – DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, BANGALORE NORTH WITH 23 POINTS

Nine-year-old Emanuel Emanuel Chauhan of Ryan International School, Kharghar was among the TOP THREE contestants in the Junior Master Chef – Swaad Ke Ustaad. He got his coast first followed by the other two. He was amongst the most popular contestants - thanks to his innovative cooking ideas.

The MAKE A DIFFERENCE CAMPAIGN by Ryan Group & Hindustan Times witnessed a massive response by school students across the city. The aim of the campaign was to sensitize students about social service and how their little acts could make a difference. The students were required to submit their innovative ideas about how they could pitch in to help solve various social issues concerning us today. The top -50 participants were awarded for their innovative ideas at a grand event held at RIS ICSE Malad. The guests of honor on the occasion were: Madam Grace Pinto, MD Ryan Group, Mr. Nitin Chowdhary, Business Head HT Media Ltd, Ms. Smruti Koppikar, Head Special Projects, HT and Anasuya Menon, Head Personal Development at Teach For India. The top three winners included: Ms. Lakshana Murkute, Class VIII Ist Rank, ICSE Malad, Mst. Interaction with Alyssa Miller
Alyssa Miller, Facilitator for Free the children’ organization, recently visited RIS ICSE Malad. Free the Children is a part of an experienced Leadership Department.This Leadership Programs teach participants about important social issues and leadership skills.Facilitators work with youth through hands on activities. The Ryanites were exposed to the work carried out by the organization in the field of education and also the various projects undertaken by them throughout the world mainly in Africa, Rural China and Northern part of India The message given was speak up, not to remain silent, give importance to ‘We’ and that however small We can make a difference.

World Environment Day
On the occasion of World Environment Day, Respected Madam Grace Pinto & Ryan Sir visited RIS Chembur to celebrate the day with the students. To mark the significance of the day,Ryan Sir spearheaded a plantation drive and encourgaed students to take part in such activities. On her part, Respected Madam Grace Pinto shared the significance of the day with the students and the staff memebers too.
